Second All-Ukrainian "ECOklass" named winners
Kyiv hosted a holiday rewarding leaders of social environmental project that inspired hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian pupils in real eco feats: schoolchildren and their teachers received congratulations, shared experiences, singing along with favorite artists from the group "The Aviator" and wondered fulldomical video "On the blue planet»
18th May, 2015 in Kiev Planetarium «ATMASFERA 360» was held the ceremony of awarding winners of the II all-Ukrainian competition for students "EKOklass" initiated by Gennady Vykhodtsev, the head of the group of companies "FOXTROT" and implemented a trading network "Foxtrot. Home Appliances ". Under the slogan "Your first adult project" contest brought together the efforts of children, parents, teachers and all concerned in solving environmental problems in the regions of Ukraine.
The second "EKOklass" demonstrated a significant evolution and dynamics of the results: if last year was received 405 projects, this year the organizers have already received about 500 entries. The number of participants has increased from 20 000 to 700 000 people! Activists of the environmental projects removed from the dirt 25 thousand hectares, planted 55 thousand bushes and 112 thousand trees, laid 162 flower beds and areas with medicinal plants, held 3240 environmental campaign events, produced 1820 feeders and birdhouses! Indicative in this year also was the fact that the projects were accepted only by e-mail - so no tree was harmed.
- Our competition "EKOklass" became stronger, more effective and significant for the society, - said the contest organizer, the Executive Director of network "Foxtrot. Home Appliances "Vyacheslav Povroznik. - This result is a great achievement of pupils and special contribution - teachers. After all, they are the greatest guarantee for success of their pupils. Today everyone can see how the joint efforts of children and adults great environmental ideas embodied in the life and decorated our country.
Evaluation of the winners and a selection of the best projects was carried out by specialized jury: Anna Kornienko, candidate of pedagogical Sciences, senior researcher of the Laboratory activities extracurricular educational establishments of the of the Institute of problems with education of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences; Galina Budash assistant of the department of laboratory diagnostics of biological systems of the National University of "Kyiv-Mohylanskaya Academy"; Elena Melnikova, the national coordinator of SPARE in Ukraine; Tamara Radchenko, Head of the Department of Ecology of the National ecological and naturalistic center students MES of Ukraine; Elena Milovanova, PR-manager of the "Foxtrot"; Yevgeny Shchepkin, the artist of the National ecological and naturalistic center students MES.
The jury named the winners of "EKOklassa" -2015 1st-3rd place, and students came to Kiev for the final for the funds of the organizers. Here are the first places winners of the contest:
1st place: "Eco-design". Pupils of the club "Young growers” Perechyn House Children and Youth Creativity, Dubrynichi, Perechyn district, Transcarpathian region. The project "Plastic and Paper - a source of inspiration."
1st place: "Ecological innovations". Members of the Environmental Children's Organization (EDI) "Green Noise" Mayorovsky school of Novobugsky regional board of Mykolayiv region. The project "Cheremshina or alternative fuels."
1st place: "creativeECO." Pupils circles "ABC security" and "Phytodesign" Nijinsky Houses of children and youth in the Nizhyn school number 15, 4-B class (Chernihiv region). The project "Acrid and insatiable smoke prevents live everything."
- Impressions of the competition - the best, and the idea to unite children around such useful things - certainly relevant, - says Larisa Petrenko, head of Nizhyn teams 4-B class, which took 1st place in the category "creativeECO” - The children in my class last year, came to the finals of the first contest, and houses shared their impressions: "It's the best we've seen!". And we decided to fight for the first place, implementing the project against pollution of our land with smoke.
We conducted a raid-observations, made fotocharge offenders, explained to citizens about the dangers of smoke, giving treatment, postcards, met with the authorities of the city. And we developed a collective game board into two fields (for preschoolers) "Savenative Ukraine from smoke" and a collection of comic books "How to tame the smoke", gathered a selection of collective reflection "The smoke of war" and created a panorama of military action in the area of the ATO zone, sent letters to the charms for the defense of Ukraine.
Authors of the best works at the awards ceremony congratulated not only the organizers, but also partners: Deputy Director of the National ecological-naturalistic center students MES of Ukraine Victoria Taranenko and the head of the content of adult education Institute of innovative technologies and content of education MES of Ukraine Natalia Beloglazova.
- Ecology is so important, because it affects our health and quality of life. Today, in Ukraine people live 20-30 years less than in neighboring countries. Our common goal - to restore the ecological balance in the country and the world at large, - said the president of the International Fund "Risk Reduction” (RiskReductionFoundation) Vladimir Kosterin. - In Ukraine grow talented and responsible children who are already in the near future will make Ukraine environmentally safe and competitive country.
The organizers presented the winners of the students-not only visit to Kiev for the final "ECOklass" but also surprises from "Foxtrot" and the Polish manufacturer of flash memory Goodram (competition partner). A magazine "Only" (a media partner of the competition) gave the teachers their own gifts.
After the ceremony guests expected a pleasant surprise: performance of their favorite artists - band "Aviator" - the legendary song "The grass near the house," the chorus which sounded words about "ECOklass." Then there was the autograph and photo session with their favorite celebrities, games and quizzes, fulldomical video "on the blue planet" from the Ukrainian animators, which shows the planet Earth in all its biological diversity.
